Monitoring of logging

Types of work:
  • automatic assessment of actual fells occurred since the previous inventory;
  • identification of existing illegal logging, monitoring of new felling areas (including illegal), evaluation of economic and environmental damage;
  • reforestation control;
  • disputes adjustment in case of law violationФ.
Methods: automated interpretation of high and medium resolution satellite images using field survey and statistical information, creation of multitemporal composites.

Results: thematic maps of fells classified by types of logging, statistical reports detecting the location and the scale of logging, information on legitimacy of felling.
