Recognition of structure and dynamics of specially protected natural areas

Core activities: 
  • map updates (land maps, maps of landscape, hydrological maps, vegetation maps, etc.) in accordance with inventory data;
  • identification of land uncovered with vegetation (burnt areas, wastelands, windfall lands);
  • forest pest monitoring;
  • monitoring of specially protected natural areas dynamics (degradation, disappearance);
  • detection of hazardous exogenous processes (coastal erosion, soil erosion, etc.).

Methods: automated and visual interpretation of multi-temporal satellite images using field and statistical information.

Results: schemes and maps, special thematic maps, statistical reports, etc..
