History

SOVZOND was founded in 1992. Our history is closely connected with the development of geoinformation industry in Russia. In 2004 only 12 employees realizing projects in the field of remote sensing worked for the company. Today more than 150 highly qualified specialists having professional background in remote sensing, geodetic and geoinformation technologies, geography, geology, agriculture, forestry, cartography, photogrammetry, informatics and land management work for the company. SOVZOND was transformed from the company whos main activity was to provide satellite imagery of high resolution acquired from foreign satellites to a recognized system integrator working in geospatial industry.

2014	2013
42^nd largest Russian IT company according to "Expert RA"; 4^th Russian fastest-growing IT company (1^st among Moscow companies) according to CNews; distribution agreement with BSEI company (China) for TH-1 satellite data providing in Russia and the CIS countries signed; new branch in Tyumen opened; the II International Forum “Integrated Geospatial Solutions – the Future of Information Technologies” hosted; 8 webinars held.	Geospatial World Excellence Awards for the application of geoinformation technologies in agriculture and the development of an integrated agro monitoring system, including the Atlas of agricultural lands and the system of remote monitoring of agricultural lands of the Russian Federation wan; gold medal of “Interexpo GEO-Siberia” in “Geoinformation Systems” nomination wan; the I International Forum “Integrated Geospatial Solutions – the Future of Information Technologies” hosted; 3 webinars held; 3^rd release of SOVZOND’s catalogue issued.

distribution agreement with DMCii (United Kingdom) for UK-DMC- 2 satellite data providing in Russia and the CIS countries signed distribution agreement with Astrium Services GEO-Information for Pleiades satellite data providing in Russia and the CIS countries signed; gold medal of “Interexpo GEO-Siberia” in “Monitoring of the environment, geoecology, Earth remote sensing technologies and photogrammetry” nomination wan; the VI International Conference "Remote Sensing - the Synergy of High Technologies" hosted 12 webinars held. 1^st place in the world in ALOS satellite (Japan) data distribution ranked; commercial license agreement with INPHO GmbH for INPHO all-in-one photogrammetric software distribution in Russia signed; Geomatics magazine issue started; 2^nd release of SOVZOND’s catalogue issued; the II International Central-Asian Conference “Remote sensing and geoinformation systems” (in cooperation with DigitalOrb) in Kazakhstan organized; the II International Conference "Remote Sensing - the Synergy of High Technologies" hosted.	1^st place in the world in ALOS satellite (Japan) data distribution ranked; DigitalGlobe’s platinum distributor of a year status obtained; Excellence Awards of XIV All-Russian Forum "Russian geoinformation market.
